Bac Ninh wins 26 medals at 1st Northern Region Karate Championships

The tournament attracted 256 athletes from 14 provinces, cities and the Army, Police participating in the competition for 71 Medals in the following contents: men individual kumite, women individual kumite; men individual kata, women individual kata, men team kata and women team kata, women team kata belonging to 3 age groups from 12-14 years old; 15-17 and over 18 years old.

Bac Ninh Karate delegation participated in the tournament with 27 athletes and won 26 medals (3 gold medals, 8 silver medals, 15 bronze medals).

The first prize belonged to the Hanoi delegation with 16 gold medals, 14 silver medals, 10 bronze medals; the Army delegation won the second prize with 13 gold medals, 6 silver medals, 8 bronze medals; The third position was the Police delegation with 9 gold medals, 12 silver medals, 11 bronze medals. Karate Bac Ninh team ranked 9th in the whole delegation.

The 1st Northern Region Karate Championships 2021 was held for the first time with an aim to promoting the development of Karate in the Northern Region as well as facilitate the athletes to improve their skills, tactics and psychology, thereby, discovering and recruiting excellent young athletes, preparing the next force for Seagames, Asiad and Olympics in the next time.
