Joining the delegation were Mr. Dao Quang Khai, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the provincial departments and sectors and Tien Du district.

Recently, Tien Du district has reviewed the criteria for a type III urban area under the province. From there, it proposed priority investment projects to overcome the problem, including: Drainage and wastewater treatment system; new administrative center of Tien Du district; upgrading and constructing new main roads in the inner-city area; implementing housing projects that meet the road width criteria of 7.5m or more; expanding the district medical center; urban parks and trees... The total investment is estimated at VND 1,856 billion.

Tien Du district is mobilizing human and material resources to speed up the construction of the district stadium.

Furthermore, the district prepared a report on the level of infrastructure development in the communes and towns expected to be established as wards and submitted it to the Ministry of Construction for evaluation. The district also submitted the project to establish Tien Du city and wards to competent authorities for review and approval.

At the working session, Tien Du district proposed that the province, departments and branches would pay attention to speeding up the progress of establishing and submitting for approval the adjustment of the Urban Development Program of Bac Ninh province, the adjustment of the Tien Du Urban Development Program; supporting capital sources to prioritize investment in construction to complete the weak and missing criteria of a type III urban area and communes oriented to become wards...

Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan requested Tien Du district to complete the construction of a city under the province by early 2026. In the forth coming time, the district needs to focus on completing the criteria to meet the criteria of a type III urban area, submitting to the National Assembly Standing Committee for recognition by the end of 2025.

Tuan agreed in principle to allow Tien Du district to draft a plan to become a city under the province and upgrade to meet the criteria for a type III urban area. The district quickly formed a district-level steering committee, allocated roles to members, and created a plan with precise and specific content, as well as a roadmap. At the same time, the district worked with the Department of Home Affairs and the Department of Construction to complete the project as well as the criteria for upgrading to a type III urban area.

On the other hand, the Chairman requested to accelerate the progress of 02 projects: investment in the construction of the drainage and wastewater treatment system of Tien Du district (Phu Lam basin) and the district stadium project, striving to complete according to the set plan. These will be 02 key projects to welcome the District Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

Regarding the project of the new headquarters of the Tien Du District Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee, the province will contribute 50% of the cost, and the district will urgently complete the documents and procedures so that construction can begin in the first quarter of 2025. Tien Du district will be the investor for the District Medical Center expansion project, clearing around 3 hectares of land; at the same time, the Bac Ninh Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board will carry out construction in 2025.
