Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang receives House of Representatives Parliamentary Delegation and Japanese enterprises

(BNP) - On the afternoon of July 4, Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee received a Japanese delegation of Parliamentarians and enterprises led by Congressman Yamamoto Gousei, Chairman of the Japan Innovation Party Parliamentary Friendship Alliance to visit and work in Bac Ninh province.

Also receiving the delegation were Mr. Ngo Tan Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of relevant departments, branches and sectors.

Expressing her joy when welcoming the delegation to visit and work in Bac Ninh province, Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang said that Vietnam and Japan are two countries with a close friendly and cooperative relationship. It has been close and important partners for the past 50 years. Bac Ninh province is always interested in promoting economic cooperation, investment promotion, and cultural exchange with Japanese partners.

Currently, Bac Ninh has about 2,350 projects from 41 countries and territories. Among them, Japan has 106 valid projects with a registered capital of more than USD 1.68 billion, investing in electronic component production and mechanical engineering. Japanese enterprises have actively contributed to the overall socio-economic development of the province.

In the coming time, the Chairwoman hoped that the Japan Innovation Party Friendship Alliance, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka, and the Vietnamese Association in the Kansai region would continue to pay attention, connect, and provide information about the investment environment of Bac Ninh province to Japanese enterprises. They continue to coordinate, build and organize cultural exchange activities between the two sides, especially promoting Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs, Dong Ho folk paintings, and other cultural forms of Bac Ninh to a large number of Japanese people, thereby, contributing to further deepening the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Japan, she added.

For his part, Congressman Yamamoto Gousei informed and clarified the close and good relationship between Japan and Vietnam over the past 50 years. At the same time, he highly appreciated the potential, advantages and efforts of Bac Ninh province in attracting investment and becoming one of the leading localities in socio-economic development. He hoped that Bac Ninh province would continue to pay attention, create conditions, and organize more exchange and cooperation activities in the fields of mutual interest, thereby, tightening the friendship and cooperation between Japan and Vietnam.
