Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang visits Phu Lang pottery village
(BNP) – On July 28, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huong Giang visited and inspected the production situation of Phu Lang pottery village, Phu Lang commune, Que Vo district.

Phu Lang pottery village has now about 250 households engaged in ceramic handicraft production. The craft village produces and supplies the market with millions of ceramic products of all kinds with expected revenue at more than VND 100 billion; create jobs for nearly 1,000 workers each year. Today, some ceramic production facilities combine ceramic products with other materials such as wood to create products that are aesthetically pleasing and have economic value and environmentally friendly. The development of the pottery village made positive contributions to the transformation of the local economic structure.
Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huong Giang visited Thieu ceramic factory in person. She highly valued the facilities’ dynamism and creativity in investing in expanding production scale as well as promoting products in and foreign.
Giang said that over the past time, Japan's JICA has a project to cooperate and train pottery workers in combination with craft village tourism in Phu Lang, which a good opportunity to promote and introduce craft village products to the world as well as open up opportunities for local tourism development.
She asked Que Vo district to prepare well all conditions for the project, at the same time, to support, facilitate and solve the difficulties of production facilities; promote promotion and introduction of craft village products in domestic and foreign markets.
