Chairwoman receives Malaysian Ambassador to Vietnam

(BNP) - On November 17, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huong Giang received the Malaysian Ambassador to Vietnam Dato 'Shariffah Norhana Syed Mustaffa.

At the meeting, Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang introduced outstanding achievements on the province's socio-economic development over the past time. Specifically, Bac Ninh has a fast and strong growth rate with many leading indicators nationwide. There are now 10 industrial parks in the province already in operation which attract more than 1,500 FDI enterprises with large big corporations from 37 countries and territories such as Samsung, Canon, Foxconn ... Among them, there are 09 projects from Malaysia with a total registered capital of about USD 80.3 million.

Besides, Bac Ninh is also rich in revolutionary and cultural tradition and is known as the hub of Quan Ho folk songs - Representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

The Chairwoman hoped that the Malaysian Ambassador pays attention and supports Bac Ninh province, firstly as a bridge to connect and introduce Malaysian businesses to invest in the province, thus strengthening the relationship between Malaysia - Vietnam in general and with Bac Ninh province in particular.

Ms. Dato 'Shariffah Norhana Syed Mustaffa suggested cooperation with Bac Ninh province on trade, education and investment, especially the introduction of Malaysian businesses to invest in Bac Ninh and Halal product and service supply.

As the ambassador of Malaysia to Vietnam, she showed her support for Bac Ninh's businesses to participate in the Halal supply chain which promised a chance for Bac Ninh’s businesses to access Malaysia as well as other Muslim markets.
