Conference to recognize craft villages, traditional crafts, artisans and skilled workers in Bac Ninh in 2023
(BNP) - On December 20, the Provincial People’s Committee organized a conference to recognize the craft villages, traditional crafts, artisans and skilled workers in the province in 2023. Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Approval Council Vuong Quoc Tuan presided over the conference.
Overview of the conference.
At the conference, the Council considered and recognized 7 traditional crafts in Thuan Thanh town based on the standards and criteria including: Nghi Khuc tofu making profession in An Binh ward; Tra Lam tofu making profession in Tri Qua ward; Dong Ho folk painting craft in Song Ho ward; Spring roll making profession in Ninh Xa commune; Dinh To soy sauce making profession in Dinh To commune; the craft of making wooden handicrafts in Binh Cau village, Hoai Thuong commune and Tao Vien bronze casting craft in Nguyet Duc commune.
At the same time, 7 individuals were also considered to be artisans: Mr. Nguyen Van Vien, doing wood mosaics in Khuc Xuyen ward, Bac Ninh city; Mr. Nguyen Dang Nghia, making pottery in Ha Man ward, Thuan Thanh town; Mr. Dang Ngoc Phuong, producing bamboo and rattan in Lac Ve commune, Tien Du district; Mr. Nguyen Huu Hoa and Nguyen Huu Dao, making Dong Ho folk paintings in Song Ho ward, Thuan Thanh town; Mr. Nguyen Nhan Phuong, working as an ornamental biologist in Phu Lam commune, Tien Du district and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son, also working as an ornamental biologist in Chi Lang commune, Que Vo town.
The Provincial People's Committee will consider and publish a book entitled "Bac Ninh - Land of hundreds of crafts" combined with releasing publications and documents on tourism and OCOP products of the province. A number of contents need to be reviewed and supplemented to Regulation No. 262/QD-UBND of the Provincial People's Committee on promulgating standards for recognition of skilled workers, artisans, organizations and individuals who have introduced new crafts to the localities in the province, ensuring compliance with practical conditions and situations.
