Department of Justice guides process of issuing criminal records via VneID

(BNP) – The Department of Justice issued instructions on the process of issuing criminal records on VneID (attached to Official Dispatch No. 1298/STP-HCBTTP dated November 8, 2024 of the Department of Justice).

Accordingly, the process of issuing a Criminal Record Certificate on VneID includes the following steps:

Step 1:

Citizens log in to their level 2 electronic identification account -> Select Administrative Procedures -> Select Issue a criminal record certificate

Step 2:

Citizens authenticate via passcode or fingerprint/face (depending on the authentication configuration of the account on the device)

Step 3:

Select the subject of the criminal record certificate

- Select Self to request a criminal record certificate for yourself

- Select Claim on behalf of someone else to request a criminal record certificate for someone else

Step 4:

- Fill in information of the person to whom the criminal record certificate is issued

- Fill in all required information fields marked with *

Step 5:

Fill in information about residence, occupation, and place of work since age 14

Note: If you are registering for someone under 14 years old, skip Step 5

Step 6:

Fill in administrative procedure information and result information; information of authorized person or parent of minor (in case of declaration on behalf of minor)

Step 7:

Confirm the profile information. Citizens do:

+ Select the fee payer

+ Attach the profile components and select the document format

+ Select "I hereby certify that the above statements are true and I am responsible for my statements" and click Submit profile

Step 8:

- Confirm sharing information

- Select the box “I have read the Purpose of sharing, processing data, rights and obligations of data subjects and agree to share and process personal data”

Step 9:

Payment of application fee

Step 10: Successful registration

Citizens have successfully registered, the results of the personal history certificate issuance will be notified via the VneID application

Step 11: After the file has been processed

+ Select View electronic version to view the electronic criminal record

+ Select Download to download the criminal record to the device.
