Program of singing Quan Ho folk songs on boat "Songs to Uncle Ho"

(BNP) - On September 1, at the lake area of Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Song Theater (Viem Xa area, Hoa Long ward, Bac Ninh city), the Quan ho Bac Ninh folk song singing program on a boat with the theme "Song to Uncle Ho" took place.


The leaders give flowers to congratulate the artists and actors of Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Song Theater.

This is a practical activity to celebrate the 78th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2023) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2 2023). The program was broadcast live on Bac Ninh Radio and Television Station.

Attending and enjoying the program were Mr. Nguyen Dinh Loi, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Nghiem Dinh Trung, Member the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command; Mr. Ngo Tan Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of provincial departments, sectors and a large number of people and tourists.

With the theme "Songs to Uncle Ho", the art program was elaborately choreographed with 2 parts: Performance on stage and Quan Ho folk song singing on the boat.

The art space was designed to reach the widest possible audience by combining a live performance stage with modern light show technology to honor the beauty of Quan Ho Bac Ninh folk songs - Representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

The program is a tribute from the people of Bac Ninh to President Ho Chi Minh and the Heroes who sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, with the goal of propagating and educating patriotic traditions in the young generation; as well as raising community awareness and responsibility in preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage.

Along with singing Quan Ho folk songs on the boat, residents and tourists also participated in a variety of other distinctive cultural activities such as: Visiting exhibitions, introducing traditional craft village products, OCOP products; watching water puppet shows; exchanging street music and folk dance; experiencing folk games; enjoying typical cuisine of the Quan Ho region...
