Provincial leaders offer incense to commemorate 115th birth anniversary of Comrade Ngo Gia Tu
(BNP) - On the occasion of the 115th birth anniversary of Comrade Ngo Gia Tu (December 3, 1908 – 2023), a delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee, and Delegation of National Assembly Deputies led by Comrade Nguyen Anh Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies offered incense at the monument of Comrade Ngo Gia Tu, Tam Son ward, Tu Son city.

Joining the delegation were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Quoc Chung; Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huong Giang; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Permanent People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee, Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; leaders of a number of departments, branches, sectors and mass organizations, Tu Son city and representative from comrade Ngo Gia Tu's family.
The delegation respectfully offered flowers and incense to commemorate comrade Ngo Gia Tu, a prominent communist soldier, senior leader of the Party, and excellent student of President Ho Chi Minh, as well as an outstanding son of Bac Ninh hometown. He was a founding member of the Indochina Communist Party, the forerunner of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Ngo Gia Tu was born and raised in a countryside rich in cultural and revolutionary traditions. He was soon enlightened about the revolution and was admitted to the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association in 1926. In 1928, he was elected Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association in Bac Ninh and a member of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Youth Revolutionary Association Tonkin. In June 1929, he was elected to the Provisional Central Executive Committee of the Indochina Communist Party. The 115th birthday anniversary of Comrade Ngo Gia Tu is an opportunity for the Bac Ninh’s Party Committee and people to commemorate and express their gratitude for his significant contributions to the Party's and the nation's revolutionary cause. Following the bright example of Comrade Ngo Gia Tu, the Party Committee and people of Bac Ninh province pledged to uphold revolutionary traditions, solidarity, unity, overcome obstacles, create patriotic emulation activities, and successfully implement goals. The objectives and responsibilities assigned are to make Bac Ninh province more prosperous, beautiful, civilized, and modern.
After the incense offering ceremony, the delegation visited Comrade Ngo Gia Tu Memorial House in Tam Son quarter, Tam Son ward, Tu Son city.
