Provincial leaders offer incense to open Lim festival in Spring of At Ty 2025
(BNP) - On the morning of February 9 (January 12, At Ty year), a delegation of the Provincial Party Committee (PPC), People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee led by Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the PPC, Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies attended the incense offering ceremony to open the festival at Hong An Pagoda on Lim Hill (Tien Du District).
Joining the delegation were Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the PPC and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Cong Ngo, former Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Committee, former Secretary of the PPC, former Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Mrs. Tran Thi Hang, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Le Xuan Loi, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors; leaders Tien Du district and Tu Son city.

In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan and delegates offered incense at Hong An Pagoda, a famous ancient pagoda that attracts many tourists from around the world during the Lim festival. This is also a location that represents an important historical milestone for the Party Committee and the people of Bac Ninh: On August 4, 1929, the first Indochina Communist Party Conference of the two provinces of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang met here.

Secretary Tuan and delegates also burnt incense at the mausoleum of General Nguyen Dinh Dien - a talented strategist who made significant contributions to the Le Dynasty and was given the title of Marquis Canh Trung. He promoted local production, education, and cultural values in the Lim region, formerly known as Noi Due district.

Lim Festival is a big festival that takes place in early spring each year. The festival is imbued with the cultural identity of the Bac Ninh - Kinh Bac region and is one of the province's largest quan ho festivities. Tien Du district is submitting to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to include the Lim Festival in the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage in order to continue promoting cultural values, arousing pride in the long-standing traditions of Kinh Bac homeland, promoting the image, people, and homeland of Tien Du, Bac Ninh to domestic and international tourists.
On this occasion, the Secretary and delegates visited the exhibition area and introduced the province's OCOP products.
