Provincial People’s Committee holds conference of preparation for 10th Phu Dong Health Association of Bac Ninh province
(BNP) - On March 7, the Provincial People's Committee held a conference of the Provincial Steering and Organizing Committees for 10th Phu Dong Health Association in 2024. Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Head of the Provincial Steering Committee chaired the meeting.

The 10th Bac Ninh Province’s Phu Dong Health Association in 2024 organizes competitions in 9 provincial-level sports including chess, shuttlecock, stick pushing, football, athletics, badminton, karate, taekwondo, and swimming. In particular, from March 11 to April 17, there will be 4 sports (badminton, stick pushing, shuttlecock, and athletics); from April 16–20, there will be football competition; and before April 30, there will be competitions in chess, karate, taekwondo, and swimming.
Participants are high school and continuing education students aged 18 years or younger studying at educational institutions in the national education system.
The opening ceremony is expected to take place on April 20, 2024, at the Provincial Multi-purpose Gymnasium with the theme "Bac Ninh School youth – Creation, Integration, and Development."
Bac Ninh province is expected to participate in the Phu Dong Health Association - region II competition in Thai Nguyen province with 6/11 sports and the national competition in Hai Phong with 8/15 sports.
At the conference, members of the Steering and Organizing Committees contributed many opinions on a number of contents related to the timing of the opening ceremony of the Phu Dong Health Association; health regulations and procedures for athletes' health certificates; work of organization and live broadcasting of the opening ceremony and so on.
Concluding the conference, Standing Vice Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan requested the members of the Steering and the Organizing Committees to unify and focus on implementing the works according to the plan.
The Standing Vice Chairman also requested departments and sectors to arrange a number of athletes with high quality and research competition sports to participate in the regional and national Phu Dong Health Association with the goal of placing Bac Ninh province among the top six provinces in the Red River Delta region and the top 20 in the country.
