Thuan Thanh implements activities to celebrate 80th anniversary of founding day of Vietnamese People’s Army

The plan aims to widely propagandize among the armed forces of the town and local people about the nation’s tradition of fighting the enemy and defending the country, image and noble qualities of “Uncle Ho’s soldiers” over the past 80 years as well as outstanding result of the 35-year-all-people national defense. Through the plan, it educates to enhance patriotism, love of socialism and revolutionary heroism; and affirms the correctness in implementing the people’s war policy of our Party and State. At the same time, it encourages officers and soldiers of the town’s armed forces and people to take care of strengthening national defense and security, building a strong people’s armed forces and protecting the fatherland.

Accordingly, during the implementation period in 2024 (focus on the third and fourth quarters), Thuan Thanh town will strengthen the organization of propagation and educational activities to celebrate the 80^th anniversary of the founding day of the Vietnamese People's Army and the 35^th anniversary of the National Defense Day among officers, soldiers and people in the mass media; organize traditional talks for officials, students and people in the town; strengthen the protection of the Party’s ideological foundation, fight against wrong and hostile views against the Party, State and Army; create a documentary film “80-year tradition of heroic Thuan Thanh town’s armed forces” and so on.

In addition, the town deploys emulation and reward movements; and focuses on socio-economic development activities associated with strengthening national defense and security. It also organizes campaigns for creative writing, literature and art, writing on the topic of the armed forces, cultural, art, physical education and sport activities to celebrate the event, including the program “Military and Civilian Cultural Festival”; the displays and exhibitions of achievements in building the People's Armed Forces and building the foundation of all-people national defense in Bac Ninh province.

Furthermore, the departments, branches, and organizations at all levels organize flower offerings at the Martyrs' Memorial of the town; visit and give gifts to families of war invalids, relatives of martyrs, Vietnamese heroic mothers, heroes of the People's Armed Forces, policy families, people with meritorious services to the revolution and typical veterans in the town. The functional agencies propagandize and educate officers, soldiers and people about history, traditions, friendship, solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and China, Laos, and Cambodia. The authority also thoroughly grasps and effectively implements the foreign policy of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense and the Standing Party Committee of the 1^st Military Region Command, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, the Town Party Committee, and the Town People's Committee. As a result, these activities will contribute to maintaining the economic and social stability, successful implementing the national defense strategy, which is one of the thoughts to protect the Socialist Republic of Vietnam early and from afar.
