Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan attends launching ceremony of Tree Planting Festival in Yen Phong

(BNP) - On February 3 (January 6, lunisolar calendar), Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies attended the launching ceremony of the Tree Planting Festival “Forever grateful to Uncle Ho” in Yen Phong district. Also attending the ceremony were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee including Mr. Dao Quang Khai, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Mr. Ha Sy Tiep, Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Propaganda and Mass Mobilization.

Tree planting is an important task associated with comprehensive development towards green economy and sustainable development; therefore, Yen Phong district always focuses on propaganda and raising awareness among people about the meaning and benefits of tree planting, making tree planting a practical and effective emulation movement of all levels, sectors and residential areas. As a result, these activities contribute to environmental protection, creating green - clean - beautiful landscapes in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas.

In 2025, the district strives to plant about 35,000 new trees of all kinds in schools, offices, new residential areas, cultural centers of communes, villages, inter-village and inter-commune roads, thereby, contributing to the goal of planting 1.5 million trees of Bac Ninh province in the 2021 - 2025 period in the Project of planting one billion trees launched by the Prime Minister. At the same time, Yen Phong will develop comprehensively, becoming a green, environmentally friendly urban area, a livable and sustainable place.

After the launching ceremony, Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan and delegates participated in planting trees at the District Cultural and Sports Center.
