“Border Journey - Spring 2026” arts program

(BNP) - On the evening of April 1, the Bac Ninh Provincial Women’s Union, in coordination with the Vietnam National Drama Theatre, the Provincial Red Cross, and Xuan Luong Commune, organized an arts program themed “Border Journey - Spring 2026.”

This was one of the practical activities celebrating the successful outcome of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term; toward the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2026) and the 136th birthday of the beloved President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 1926).

The program was attended by leaders of the Provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Propaganda and Mobilization, the Provincial Women’s Union, the Provincial Labor Confederation, the Provincial Red Cross, along with a large number of residents in Xuan Luong Commune.

Under the theme “President Ho Chi Minh - A Boundless Love,” delegates and the audience enjoyed various unique artistic performances. Lively and emotional musical acts praising the homeland, the country, and the spring brought a joyful and warm atmosphere. Furthermore, elaborate and captivating circus acts with creative performances were showcased. Notably, the program featured a short play titled “The Bright Eyes,” recreating the simple yet noble image of President Ho Chi Minh, contributing to inspiring love for the President and national pride in every spectator.

The “Border Journey - Spring 2026” arts program was a meaningful cultural and artistic activity organized by the Vietnam National Drama Theatre in coordination with several localities in mountainous, border, and island areas facing difficulties. Through this collaboration in Bac Ninh, the organizing units aimed to promote the role of art in propaganda and education on patriotism, social responsibility, and a spirit of connection and sharing; bringing professional art closer to the people, contributing to improving the cultural and spiritual life of women and the local community.

Within the program's framework, the Provincial Women’s Union and the Provincial Red Cross presented 50 gift sets worth over 60 million VND to disadvantaged children in Xuan Luong commune. These gifts represented not only material value but also a message of affection, sharing, and encouragement for the children to overcome difficulties and strive in their studies to become good children, excellent students, and “Uncle Ho's Good Grandchildren.”

According to the plan, the “Border Journey - Spring 2026” arts program and gift presentations would continue to be held by the Provincial Women’s Union in coordination with the Vietnam National Drama Theatre and the Provincial Red Cross in Luc Son and Sa Ly communes on April 2 and April 3, 2026 (with a total gift budget of over 180 million VND for the three communes)./.
