Bac Ninh approves trade promotion plan for period 2026–2030

(BNP) - The Provincial People's Committee has just issued Decision on approving the Trade Promotion Plan for the period 2026–2030.

Supporting key products, OCOP products, and handicraft products to enhance competitiveness and participate deeply in global value chains.

According to the Plan, the province aims to develop trade promotion activities in a professional manner, linked to digital transformation and green transformation; while supporting key products, OCOP products, and handicraft products to enhance competitiveness and participate deeply in global value chains.

The implementation focuses on several groups of activities such as: Strengthening propaganda, promotion and providing market information; organizing and participating in domestic and international trade fairs and exhibitions; promoting trade connections and expanding consumer markets; Organizing conferences, seminars, and training to enhance the capacity of businesses and cooperatives; supporting brand development, traceability, and e-commerce applications.

In addition, the province focuses on organizing events to promote the consumption of agricultural products, especially lychees and other characteristic products; while strengthening international cooperation and trade promotion in potential markets such as China, the EU, Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia.

The total estimated budget is VND 133.1 billion, mobilized from the local budget, support from the national trade promotion program, contributions from businesses, and other legal sources.

The Provincial People's Committee assigns the Department of Industry and Trade to lead the implementation of the Plan, advise on the completion of policies and mechanisms, develop plans, budget estimates, and compile reports; and coordinate the selection and proposal of venues for provincial events.

The Department of Finance is responsible for allocating funds. Relevant departments, agencies, and organizations shall coordinate implementation according to their functions. The People's Committees of communes and wards shall develop local plans, coordinate implementation, supervision, and support businesses participating in trade promotion.

The lead units shall proactively implement, promptly report, and propose adjustments when necessary. Businesses and cooperatives shall focus on improving capacity, product quality, brand development, and actively participate in trade promotion activities.

Press and media agencies shall strengthen the dissemination of information about the province's trade promotion activities; promote and support the consumption of the province's products.
