(BNP) - The Bac Ninh Department of Industry and Trade has just issued Plan No. 55/KH-SCT for the socio-economic development of the industry and trade sector in 2027.

Expanding markets and increasing the value of export goods is one of the three key tasks of the Plan.

Accordingly, the Plan sets out 7 main targets, including: Industrial production index reaching 117.78%; industrial production value (at 2010 constant prices) reaching over VND 3.44 trillion, an increase of 14.85% compared to the same period; industrial production value at current prices reaching over VND 3.71 trillion, an increase of 22.85%; total import and export turnover reaching USD 271 billion, of which exports USD 140 billion, imports USD 131 billion; Total retail sales of goods and services reached VND 212,750 billion; 61.1% of operating industrial clusters have centralized wastewater treatment systems meeting environmental standards; and commercial electricity growth reached 19.95%.

To achieve these goals, the Department of Industry and Trade has identified three key tasks: Establishing three new industrial clusters with a total area of approximately 150 hectares, prioritizing the attraction of projects in agricultural and forestry product processing, electronics manufacturing, mechanical engineering, and supporting industries, with a total investment of approximately VND 1,800 billion. Alongside this, focus on developing the logistics system, logistics centers, and inland container depots (ICDs); supporting businesses to boost exports through cross-border e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Alibaba, Temu, and TikTok Global; and effectively exploiting the advantages of key manufacturing sectors, expanding markets, and increasing the value of exported goods.

To effectively implement the Plan, the Department of Industry and Trade has outlined six key solution groups. These include focusing on removing obstacles and creating favorable conditions for businesses to develop production and business; prioritizing the attraction of large-scale FDI and domestic investment projects with modern, environmentally friendly technology; strongly developing supporting industries and assisting businesses to participate more deeply in the supply chains of multinational corporations such as Samsung, Canon, Foxconn, and Amkor.

In addition, the sector will accelerate investment in infrastructure for industrial parks and clusters; develop a comprehensive logistics system, warehouses, inland ports, and connecting transportation infrastructure; ensure sufficient electricity and fuel supply for production, business, and people's lives; accelerate the progress of power generation and grid projects according to the plan, while encouraging the use of energy efficiently and effectively.

Along with the above solutions, the Department of Industry and Trade continues to promote administrative procedure reform, reduce compliance costs, and shorten processing times; strengthen trade promotion, support businesses in expanding domestic and export markets, develop e-commerce and logistics services; improve the effectiveness of market management, combat smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods, contributing to building a transparent and healthy business environment, creating momentum to promote production and business development in the province.
