(BNP) – On the morning of January 20, at the National Convention Center (Hanoi), the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam held its opening session with the participation of 1,586 delegates representing more than 5.6 million Party members nationwide. The opening session of the Congress was broadcast live on VTV1 (Vietnam Television).

The Congress is a particularly important political event for the Party, with strategic orientation significance for the country's development in the new period.
With the motto "Unity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development," the 14th Congress reviews the past journey, especially nearly 40 years of national renewal, and simultaneously outlines the direction for the next five years and beyond. The goal is to bring the country to the aspiration of national strength and prosperity by 2045.
The Congress's theme is: "Under the glorious banner of the Party, working together to successfully achieve the national development goals by 2030; strategic self-reliance, self-strength, self-confidence, and strong progress in the era of national development, for peace, independence, democracy, prosperity, civilization, happiness, and steadily advancing towards socialism."
The delegation of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee attending the Congress consisted of 40 delegates, led by Mr. Nguyen Hong Thai, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, as Head of the Delegation; and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Huong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, as Deputy Head of the Delegation.
