(BNP) - On the morning of July 9th, the Bac Ninh Provincial Women's Union launched a pilot model of "Safe House for Women and Children" in Que Vo Ward and organized training for the model's operating team, aiming to implement the pilot project according to the guidelines of the Vietnam Women's Union Central Committee.

Leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, the Bac Ninh Provincial Women's Union, and Que Vo Ward congratulate the team operating the "Safe House for Women and Children" model.

The model is located at the Que Vo Ward Health Station with an operating team of 27 members. The model's nhiệm vụ is to receive information, assess risks, provide initial support, connect services, and refer women and children at risk of or who have experienced violence or abuse; it also monitors, supports post-intervention, and prevents recurrence.

Speaking at the program, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh emphasized that the model is a safe and friendly haven right in the community, contributing to a shift from post-incident support to proactive prevention, early detection, and timely intervention. At the same time, it was suggested that Party committees, authorities, and relevant sectors continue to coordinate and create favorable conditions for the model to operate effectively, ensuring that all cases requiring support have access to appropriate services.

Following the launch ceremony, delegates visited the model at the Que Vo Ward Health Station; members of the operating team and core women's association members received training on risk identification, reception procedures, service connection, and situation handling. The model contributes to strengthening the protection and support of women and children at the grassroots level, building a safe and humane living environment.
