(BNP) - On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026 (Year of the Horse), a delegation led by Mr. Mai Son, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on February 4th, visited and extended New Year greetings to the Chinese Embassy in Hanoi.

The delegation was received by Mr. Ha Vi (He Wei), Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Vietnam along with embassy staff.
On behalf of the provincial leadership, the Standing Vice Chairman happily informed the delegates about the outstanding achievements in the province's socio-economic development in 2025, with many indicators ranking among the top in the country.
In terms of collaboration with China, Bac Ninh province attracted over 1,500 projects from Chinese partners in 2025, with a total registered investment capital of over 11.3 billion USD. Among the 42 countries and territories investing in Bac Ninh, Bac Ninh ranked first in terms of project quantity and third in terms of total investment capital. Chinese businesses create jobs for a large number of workers in the province and attract many workers from other provinces and cities, making a positive contribution to the socio-economic development of Bac Ninh province.

Regarding local-level cooperation, Bac Ninh province is currently implementing agreements and memoranda of understanding with five localities in China: Nanning City, Laibin City (Guangxi), Weifang City (Shandong Province), Zhenjiang City (Jiangsu Province), and Hekou County (Yunnan Province). The Bac Ninh Department of Industry and Trade has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Yunnan Provincial Department of Commerce to strengthen cooperation in economic and trade development.
The Standing Vice Chairman respectfully thanked the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam and Chinese businesses for their attention and support in choosing Bac Ninh for long-term investment. At the same time, he hoped that the Ambassador would continue to support Bac Ninh province in implementing the agreements signed with Chinese partners, acting as a bridge between Chinese businesses and Bac Ninh province.

He also conveyed the invitation from the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh Province to the Ambassador to visit and work in Bac Ninh Province during the New Year.

Chinese Ambassador He Wei expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm welcome extended by the leaders, officials, and people of Bac Ninh province to the Embassy. He emphasized the good neighborly relations between China and Vietnam, as well as between Chinese localities and Bac Ninh province. Expressing his admiration for the socio-economic development and investment attraction of Bac Ninh province in recent years, the Ambassador also sincerely thanked the provincial leaders, departments, and localities for their support, cooperation, and for creating the most favorable conditions for Chinese businesses to invest effectively in the province.
The Chinese Ambassador affirmed that he would continue to be a reliable bridge helping Chinese businesses expand investment in the province; strengthen cooperation in various fields, expand cultural diplomacy and people-to-people diplomacy, for the benefit of the people of both countries. Mr. Ha Wei happily accepted the invitation to visit and work in Bac Ninh province as soon as possible.
