Bac Ninh province supports and accompanies people in all circumstances

(BNP) - This is the direction of Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee (PPC) and Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies during the inspection of the handling of incidents after storm No. 3 and flood prevention and control in Yen Phong district and Bac Ninh city on September 10.

Joining the delegation were Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Ta Dang Doan, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Secretary of the Bac Ninh City Party Committee; Mr. Le Xuan Loi, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of relevant departments, sectors, Yen Phong district and Bac Ninh city.

Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan and the delegation inspected the flood situation on the Cau River through Bac Ninh city and Yen Phong district. Due to the recent heavy rain, the Cau River's water level has increased over warning level 3, causing flooding for residences outside the riverbank and some households along the river. Faced with the above situation, the government, the Steering Committee of Fire and Rescue, and local industrial parks have notified and organized the relocation of flooded households and at risk of flooding to a safe area.

The Secretary acknowledged the participation of the Party Committee, the authorities of Yen Phong district, Bac Ninh city as well as other localities in the province in overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3 and the situation of flooding due to rain and floods, ensuring the safety of people's lives and property. At the same time, he suggested that functional agencies and local authorities closely monitor the development of rain and floods, arrange patrols to guard the dike 24/24 hours; fully prepare materials, means and human resources to be ready to handle dike incidents, etc.


The river water rose, isolating the entire Dong Nhan Parish. The parishioners only traveled by boat.

The Secretary also highly appreciated the city government for arranging for households in the area to urgently announce the landslide incident of the Cau river dike in the locality in the area of the neighborhood cultural house. He urged the city to urgently implement the land resettlement project so that households can soon have new housing, stabilize their lives, and ensure the safety of the dike as well as the lives and property of local residents.

The Secretary visited and presented gifts to Ms. Le Thi Nguyen, born in 1948, who is living alone, and Ms. Le Thi Khuyen, born in 1951, in Dien Loc village, Hoa Tien commune, Yen Phong district, a poor household with difficult circumstances affected by storms and floods. He sympathized with the situation of two elderly people's condition and asked branches, sectors, mass organization of the commune and village to regularly care for and help them, especially in difficult times due to floods.

Also this morning, the Secretary and provincial leaders went by boat and on foot to visit and give gifts to households in Dong Nhan Parish, Hoa Tien commune, Yen Phong district, who are isolated due to the rising water of the Ca Lo river in the past two days. Currently, the entire Parish has 101 households with nearly 300 households flooded from 2-4 meters, the only means of daily transportation is by boat, daily life is disrupted, facing many difficulties.

On the other hand, the Secretary hoped that people would promote the spirit of solidarity, mutual love, and work together to overcome difficulties to stabilize their lives. He requested authorities at all levels  have plans to support people with food, drinking water, medicine, transportation, and other necessities during the days when the water has not receded.
