Delegation of Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of Korea visits and works in Bac Ninh
(BNP) - On July 16, a delegation led by Mr. Park Sang Woo, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Korea (RoK) visited and worked in Bac Ninh province.

Participants at the meeting were Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee (PPC), and Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of departments, branches, sectors and localities.

At the meeting, PPC’s Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan briefed the guest on local socio-economic achievements, high-quality human resources, and sound policies that have helped the province lure nearly USD 28 billion in more than 2,300 foreign direct investment projects from 41 countries and territories worldwide.

Korean enterprises have landed investments and run successful business in Bac Ninh and Vietnam as a whole, contributing to deepening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two nations, he said, adding the RoK, a leading investor in the province with nearly 1,000 projects worth 14.65 billion USD, has contributed greatly to the local socio-economic development.
Secretary Tuan said that as the General Director of the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) for years, Park hastened the signing of the Memoranda of Understanding on Vietnam – RoK partnership on urban area growth in June 2023, and urban area development in Bac Ninh’s southeastern region earlier this month. At the same time, Tuan expressed his belief that with its management system, financial capacity and experience, LH will prepare the necessary conditions at the earliest to carry out cooperation activities and possibly implement the project with the province in the coming time.

Laying a stress on the locality’s various potential projects, Tuan hoped that Park would continue introducing Korean enterprises to the province. At the same time, he wished that the urban area in the Southeast of Bac Ninh city in particular and the projects of Korean investors in Bac Ninh in general would create a highlight for the province's urban development in the coming time.

For his part, Mr. Park Sang Woo highly appreciated Bac Ninh’s strategic location as well as its business climate and investment policies. With many large enterprises investing in the province and an abundant labor force, Bac Ninh is truly an attractive destination for Korean investors.
He affirmed that Korea and Bac Ninh have a close relationship with many similarities, both have small areas but strong economic growth rates. With experience in the field of urban development, Korea is committed to sharing and supporting Bac Ninh to successfully develop new urban areas in the future, moving towards expanding nationwide.
