Kinh Bac ranks 2nd at the 2019 Open Volleyball Tournament – Military Cup

(BNP) -  The 2019 Open Volleyball Tournament – Military Cup kicked off by the Ministry of National Defense ended after 10 days of competition (from May 24 to June 2) in Nghe An province.

The tournament has attracted the participation of 12 men and women volleyball teams from civilian and military units. Men teams include The Cong, Military Region 4, Border Guard, Sanest Khanh Hoa, Trang An - Ninh Binh, Ha Tinh. Women teams consist of Thong tin Lien Viet PostBank, Vietinbank, Tien Nong Thanh Hoa, Dak Lak, Kinh Bac - Bac Ninh, Kingphar Quang Ninh. The participating teams are divided into male and female groups and compete in a round-robin format to select the best teams for the semi-final round.

In the group stage, Kinh Bac Women's Volleyball Team defeated teams of Dak Lak and Thanh Hoa with the score of 3 - 1, won 3-0 with Vietinbank; but lost Thongtin Lien Viet PostBank with the score 0 - 3. In the first semifinal match, Kinh Bac won 3-0 with Quang Ninh and lost Lien Viet PostBank with the score 0 - 3 at the final round, thus capturing the second place of the tournament.

Results of the tournament are that for men teams, ranking first is The Cong, the second place is Military Region 4, Khanh Hoa ranked third, ranking fourth is Border Guard. For women teams, ranking first is Thongtin Lien Viet PostBank, ranking second is Kinh Bac, while the third place belonged to Quang Ninh and Dac Lac ranked fourth.
