(BNP) - The 3rd National Art Photography Contest and Exhibition "Fatherland on the Shore" in 2025 is chaired by the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission in coordination with relevant agencies and units.

Vung Chua - Yen Island (Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province).

The Contest, which will be held every two years beginning in 2021, aims to innovate content and form, diversify methods of propaganda and foreign information on sea and island sovereignty, and introduce and promote the potential and beauty of nature and people in Vietnam's seas and islands to a large audience at home and abroad.

The contest is accessible to all Vietnamese citizens aged 15 and up who live and work in and outside of the country, as well as foreigners working and residing in Vietnam.

The works submitted to the Contest depict the natural beauty of Vietnam's seas and islands, the everyday lives, work, and production of fishermen at sea; activities to defend the sovereignty of the seas and islands; marine tourism, and sustainable development.  At the same time, it provides both conventional and sophisticated examples of socioeconomic development and the safeguarding of the Fatherland's sovereignty over its oceans and islands. ..

Contest images might be in color or black and white.  Each author is permitted to submit up to ten works to the Contest (including individual images and photo series).  The ID card or Citizen ID allows for the use of only one name.  Single images and photo series must be created from 2023 to the present.

The Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists scores award-winning and displayed works on a national level in accordance with the Association's regulations.

Time to receive entries from March 10, 2025 to July 10, 2025.

The contest features two award systems for two categories: single photo and photo collection, with two first prizes, four second prizes, six third prizes, and one consolation prize.
