Ngo Phan communal house (Chung communal house)
(BNP) - Ngo Phan communal house (Chung communal house), Binh Dinh commune, Luong Tai district was built during the reign of Le Trung Hung (18th century). The communal house is in the north of Ngo Phan village, between Thuong communal house and the pagoda, with many ancient trees planted in the grounds, forming a large, beautiful and ancient relic complex.

The communal house has the architecture of Chinese “Dinh” letter. There are 05 rooms in front and the structures are made of ironwood. During the Nguyen Dynasty, the communal house was greatly restored and embellished. In 1943, the communal house was repaired again. It was greatly restored and renovated in 2017.

Currently, the communal house has the architecture of Chinese “Dinh” letter. This is a Nguyen Dynasty construction that has been preserved to this day, including 3-compartment and 2 lean-stones Great Communal Hall and 2-compartment Emperor’s Harem. The load-bearing frame was built entirely of strong ironwood, made linked by 6 rows of horizontal columns and 4 rows of vertical columns.

Ngo Phan Communal House is a typical cultural and religious building of the local people, a place to worship the village’s tutelary god who has contributed to the people and the country. Currently, the communal house still retains many beautiful and delicate carvings.
