Open Flower Street to celebrate Ky Hoi Spring 2019

(BNP) – In the evening of February 2nd, City Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee held the opening ceremony of the flower street to welcome Ky Hoi Spring 2019 with the theme "Bac Ninh Culture - Convergence - Shine".

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Nhan Chien, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Head of Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Members; Mr. Nguyen Huu Quat, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Tu Quynh, Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee; Mrs. Nguyen Huong Giang, Chairwoman of Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Nguyen Tien Nhuong, Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee; leaders of departments, branches, sectors, Bac Ninh city and people in the province.

The flower road stretched from behind Ly Thai To statue to the intersection with Kinh Duong Vuong road which is mobilized from the source of socialization. This is the first time, Bac Ninh city has built a flower road in combination with a pedestrian street to serve the people as well as tourists during the Lunar New Year.

The flower road consisted of 31 decorative points with 5 main points and 26 service points spreading over the entire road. People and visitors could admire and saved the iconic image promoting the traditional beauty of Bac Ninh province and the Vietnamese people. That is the image of Lotus; images of cultural heritage including PhatTich Pagoda (Tien Du), But Thap Pagoda, Dau Pagoda (Thuan Thanh), Do Temple (Tu Son) and so on.

The Flower Street not only welcomed the Lunar New Year of 2019 but also associated with important events in the beginning of the year such as Festival "Coming back to Quan Ho land" and the 10th anniversary of Quan Ho folk songs which is recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible cultural heritage of humanity. As planned, the flower road will be taken care of and maintained until February 25th.
