Receiving and working with the delegation were: Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the provincial departments, branches and sectors; and Thuan Thanh town.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Anh Tuan briefed on Bac Ninh’s geographic location, socio-economic development situation and investment environment. To date, the province has 16 industrial zones covering ​​6,397 hectares, with an occupancy rate of nearly 60%. Industrial zones are invested in synchronous and modern infrastructure associated with social infrastructure to ensure the welfare of people and workers. In 2023, the province had many socio-economic indicators among the top in the country such as: export value, total foreign direct investment, GRDP per capita, state budget revenue and so on.

Currently, Bac Ninh province has granted investment registration to more than 2,300 valid projects with a total registered investment capital of nearly USD 28 billion from 41 countries and territories. Among which, 118 projects from Taiwan feature a total capital of more than USD 790 million. Many Taiwanese businesses such as Foxconn, Fushan, Mitac, Bright, Seiyo have been implementing successful projects and actively contributing to the province’s socio-economic development.

Bac Ninh province commits to always accompany and creating favorable conditions for businesses during learning and investing in Bac Ninh with the highest responsibility. In particular, the province is always ready for clean premises, human resources, reform of administrative procedures, and ready to support businesses with an intent to invest in the province.

Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan emphasized “Bac Ninh and businesses are always reliable partners. We share the motto that the businesses’ success is also the province’s success, the businesses’ difficulties are also the province’s difficulties. Together we overcome difficulties and challenges for effective cooperation, success and development”.

At the working session, representatives from the delegation respectfully thanked the provincial leaders for their welcome, companionship and support over the past time. These have helped businesses overcome difficult times, maintain and improve production and business efficiency in Bac Ninh.

At the same time, they hoped that the provincial leaders, departments, sectors and functional agencies would provide more information about the province’s preferential policies to attract investment; create more favorable conditions for customs policies, tax refunds, and work permits for experts and business leaders; accept and appraise to ensure safety in firefighting and environment; regularly meet, exchange and dialogue with businesses in industrial zones to enhance understanding and attachment between them and the provincial party committee and authority.

The businesses’ opinions and feedbacks at the working session were directly discussed and clarified by representatives from the provincial departments and sectors in the spirit of maximum support for businesses and in accordance with the legal provisions.

For his part, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan once again confirmed that Bac Ninh is continuously reforming administrative procedures, and creating a transparent and professional investment environment for all businesses from countries to learn about and cooperate for long-term investment in the province. We hope that large-scale businesses, especially semiconductor component manufacturing corporations from Taiwan (China), will visit and research cooperation and investment opportunities in Bac Ninh, he added.

Furthermore, he assigned the Department of Information and Communications to restart virtual assistant software to support businesses. The Provincial Industrial Zones Authority needs to fully synthesize the opinions of businesses and advise the Provincial People's Committee to direct departments and sectors to respond as soon as possible.
