Rural clean water infrastructure

In 2019, Bac Ninh has 14 private enterprises investing in the construction of centralized clean water supply works for 52 communes with clean water supply to about 110,000 rural people in Bac Ninh province.

Center for Rural Water Supply and Sanitation is managing and operating 17 water supply stations, with a capacity of 65,000 m3/day and night, supplying water to 37 communes with 69,000 households. Currently, the stations are operating well the management and operation to ensure water technology and quality; promote efficiency, stability and sustainability.

According to a 2019 survey on clean water and environmental sanitation, the percentage of the rural population using hygienic water is estimated at 99.52%; The rate of rural population supplied with water according to national technical regulations of Ministry of Health reaches 67.5%. The number of households with hygienic toilets in accordance with national technical regulations 01: 2011/BYT of the Ministry of Health reaches 88.5%, the rate of health stations with water and hygienic toilets reaches 100%; 99.8% of schools have hygienic water and toilets.

Local water supply works are being exploited effectively, by 2020, Bac Ninh strives to have 100% of the rural population to have access to hygienic water sources, improve the quality of life and health for citizen.
