The 9th exchange program of "Singing Quan ho at hosting house on the full-moon night"
(BNP) – In the evening of February 20, at the Quan Ho hosting house of Viem Xa village, People's Committee of Bac Ninh city held the 9th exchange program "Singing Quan ho at hosting house on the full-moon night" between Viem Xa and Bo Son Quan ho clubs.

The exchange program of "Singing Quan ho folksongs at hosting house on the full-moon night” held by Bac Ninh city in the middle month of each quarter of the year aims to nurture and preserve, hand down unique cultural values of the Quan ho folk songs heritage to offspring generation. It is also a practical activity to keep moving the project of "Conservation and promotion of intangible cultural heritage of Quan ho folk songs and Ca tru in the period of 2013-2020" by the Provincial People's Committee.

During the program, under the guidance of the artist Xuan Mui, male and female singers of the Quan ho clubs brought 14 very featured and impressive Quan ho performances to the audience such as “Bạn Tình ơi” "Liện sai", "Vui bốn mùa", “Lên tiên cung”, “Thỏa niềm mong đợi”, “Trên rừng 36 thứ chim”, “Mùa xuân Quan họ”… The smooth Quan ho’s rhythms and lyrics have helped many people, especially the young generation, understand more about the origin, cultural customs, the way, rules of Quan ho singing as well as costumes, how to play Quan ho of Kinh Bac people.
A performance at the program
The 9th exchange program "Singing Quan ho at hosting house on the full-moon night" was held right on the full-moon night of the lunar January (called as Lantern Festival) and on the occasion that Bac Ninh celebrates the Festival "Arrive in Quan ho land in 2019" and the 10th anniversary of Quan ho folksongs honored as the representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO. Furthermore, it was held in Diem village, the root of Quan ho folksongs, thereby creating a playground for the clubs, male and female singers and people in the area to save, learn and enrich love for this type of folksongs, contributing to preserving, promoting and making intangible cultural heritage Bac Ninh folk songs developed and long-lived.
