According to local elders, Thu Ninh village is located on a phoenix-shaped land. The communal house is built on a high strip of land in the middle of the village (on the phoenix’s body), and to the west is the village pagoda (on the phoenix’s head). Thu Ninh communal house and the surrounding landscape create a harmonious space.

Thu Ninh communal house is an architectural complex, including: Alter-curtain Gate, Great Communal Hall and Emperor’s Harem connected together to form an architecture of Chinese “Dinh” letter. The Great Communal Hall has 7 compartments and 2 wings.

Thu Ninh communal house still preserves many valuable antiques such as genealogy, stone steles, ordinations, and many Nguyen dynasty worship items. In particular, the genealogy clearly shows the origin and achievements of the people worshiped at the relic.

These ancient documents are both historical evidence of the communal house and a valuable cultural heritage of the homeland. The communal house, along with traditional festivals and religious activities, have contributed to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values ​​and building community solidarity.

Ordination.

In addition, Thu Ninh communal house also conserves many carvings in the Great Communal Hall and the Emperor’s Harem from the Nguyen dynasty that have architectural and artistic value. The worship objects and ordination are typical products representing the viewpoints and technical and artistic styles of different periods in history.
