(BNP) - The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has just issued Decision No. 979/QD-UBND approving the investment policy and simultaneously approving the investor to implement the Gia Binh International Airport Urban Area 1 Project.
Gia Binh International Airport is under construction, creating a driving force for the development of urban and service areas south of the Duong River.
The project is invested by Thai Bao Infrastructure and Real Estate Development Joint Stock Company, implemented on an area of about 200.8 hectares in Gia Binh, Dai Lai, and Dong Cuu communes with the goal of building a smart, modern, and environmentally friendly new urban area, synchronous in technical infrastructure, social infrastructure, commerce, services, and tourism. At the same time, it creates an urban development highlight south of the Duong River associated with Gia Binh International Airport and neighboring functional areas.
Once formed, the project will provide housing products and construction works for sale, lease, and lease-purchase in accordance with the provisions of law, with an expected population scale of about 35,637 people. The total estimated investment capital of the project is over 39,514.9 billion VND. The operation duration is 50 years from the date of investor approval.
The project is divided into 2 investment phases: Phase 1 with a scale of about 106.8 hectares; Phase 2 with about 94 hectares. Both phases will synchronously invest in technical and social infrastructure systems along with low-rise housing, high-rise housing, mixed housing, commercial - service works, education, healthcare, culture, physical training and sports, parking lots, and public works according to the approved planning. In which, a special feature is the formation of schools at all levels from kindergarten, primary, lower secondary, to upper secondary; a hospital combined with a nursing home with a capacity of 300 - 500 beds, and modern medical stations, etc. to meet the development needs of the new urban area.
According to the Decision, the project is not located within "areas that must ensure national defense and security, where foreign organizations and individuals are not allowed to own housing". Therefore, housing ownership by foreign organizations and individuals in the project will be implemented in accordance with the provisions of law.
The Provincial People's Committee assigns relevant departments, sectors, and localities to coordinate in implementing the next steps, ensuring the project is carried out in compliance with legal regulations; while simultaneously updating the project into the Bac Ninh Province Housing Development Plan for the 2026 - 2030 period and performing related tasks regarding land management, infrastructure, planning, and investment./.
