Bac Ninh approves planning task for detailed planning of Gia Binh International Airport Urban Area 2 with scale of over 560 hectares

(BNP) - The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has just issued Decision No. 947/QD-UBND approving the Detailed Planning Task at a scale of 1/500 for Gia Binh International Airport Urban Area 2.

The formulation of the planning aims to concretize the Bac Ninh Province Planning for the 2021 - 2030 period, with a vision to 2050, and the Sub-zone Planning No. 1 South of Duong River; while simultaneously establishing a legal basis to deploy construction investment projects, effectively exploit land funds with potential, and develop urban - service spaces associated with Gia Binh International Airport in a synchronous, modern, and sustainable direction.

According to the Decision, the planned area belongs to the administrative boundaries of Gia Binh, Nhan Thang, and Dong Cuu communes, with an area of about 560.5 hectares and an expected population scale of about 70,000 - 80,000 people. This is oriented to be a new urban area invested synchronously with technical and social infrastructure systems, meeting the long-term housing needs of residents; an urban space associated with Gia Binh International Airport, supporting regional urban, industrial, and service development, and contributing to completing the urban space south of the Duong River.

The functions determined according to the approved sub-zone planning include: Residential land; mixed land for residential groups and services, trade - services, medical land, education, culture, religion, beliefs, parking lots, greenery - water surface... The planning criteria are studied in accordance with Class I urban standards, ensuring compliance with the national technical regulation QCVN 01:2021/BXD.

The planning project focuses on studying the organization of architectural space, social infrastructure, and synchronous technical infrastructure systems according to Class I urban standards. In which, each residential unit is arranged with 1 medical station along with cultural, physical training and sports, and commercial - service works in accordance with regulations. The technical infrastructure system is oriented to be synchronous with a minimum domestic water supply target of 120 liters/person/day and night; solid waste collection reaching 100%; ensuring electricity supply, telecommunications, parking lots, and traffic connection needs according to National technical regulations, meeting the requirements of modern and sustainable urban development.

Along with that, the planning also proposes environmental protection solutions; encourages the application of flexible, local, and at-source wastewater treatment measures, applying biotechnology to domestic wastewater treatment in residential areas; permeable urban infrastructure and green urban infrastructure to protect and maintain the stability of groundwater sources; installation of rooftop solar power systems, smart transportation, electric vehicle charging stations...

The Provincial People's Committee assigns An Phu Infrastructure and Real Estate Development Joint Stock Company to organize the formulation of the planning project; the Department of Construction to appraise it; the completion time for the detailed planning formulation shall not exceed 6 months from the date the planning task is approved./.
