(BNP) - The Provincial People's Committee recently signed Decision No. 1689/QD-UBND granting Aeonmall Vietnam Co., Ltd. the right to lease land for the Aeon Mall Bac Ninh Tan Tien shopping center project in Tan Tien ward, Bac Ninh province.

According to the Decision, Aeonmall Vietnam Co., Ltd. is granted the right to lease 76,985 m² of land, equivalent to nearly 7.7 hectares, acquired through the transfer of the entire real estate project from Newland Investment Joint Stock Company under a contract signed on May 11, 2026. The land is to be used for commercial and service purposes; the lease term is until August 13, 2075. The land lease form is a one-time payment from the State for the entire lease period.
The Aeon Mall Bac Ninh Tan Tien Commercial Center project has a total investment of nearly 4,000 billion VND, and was initially granted a Certificate of Investment on November 27, 2025, and amended for the first time on April 8, 2026. Prior to this, the project was placed under a 24/7 "green channel" mechanism by Bac Ninh province to promptly resolve procedures within its jurisdiction and accelerate implementation progress.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to organize land allocation on-site, revise cadastral records, and update the land database according to regulations. The Department of Finance, the Department of Construction, the Tax Department of Bac Ninh province, and the People's Committee of Tan Tien ward, based on their assigned functions and duties, are to inspect, guide, and urge the investor to fully fulfill all obligations regarding investment, construction, land, finance, and environmental protection.
For investors, Aeonmall Vietnam Co., Ltd. is responsible for implementing the project according to the approved content; strictly complying with the regulations of the law on investment, construction, land, and environment; carrying out procedures for land registration changes and fulfilling financial obligations to the State as prescribed.
It is known that Aeon is one of the oldest retail trading groups in Japan. In Vietnam, the AEON MALL system has 8 shopping malls currently operating in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Hai Phong, Hue, and Tay Ninh. Among them, the Aeon Mall Bac Ninh Tan Tien project is expected to add modern commercial and service space, creating a further development highlight for the Tan Tien urban area.
