(BNP) - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thinh has recently signed Plan No. 121/KH-UBND regarding the international economic integration of Bac Ninh province for 2026.

The province's general goal in 2026 is to continue effectively implementing integration work amidst many fluctuations in the global and regional economy, as well as increasing wars and trade competition. Through promoting integration, Bac Ninh aims to maintain stable and sustainable economic growth, improve the competitiveness of the economy and businesses, while effectively utilizing free trade agreements (FTAs) to expand and diversify export markets. International economic integration continues to be identified as an important driving force promoting the province's economic structural transformation towards high-tech industries, promoting its role as a hub for electronics, semiconductors, and manufacturing in the Capital Region.
Regarding specific goals, the province focuses on fully and seriously implementing integration commitments and FTAs, while maintaining export growth toward increasing the added value of high-tech products. Bac Ninh prioritizes attracting selective foreign investment in semiconductor projects, electronics, supporting industries, logistics, the digital economy, and the green economy. In addition, the province focuses on supporting businesses to improve competitiveness, meeting international standards on rules of origin, environment, and labor, while promoting administrative procedure reform and training high-quality human resources for integration.
To achieve the above goals, the province will synchronously deploy 7 groups of key tasks and solutions. Core tasks include promoting propaganda to raise awareness about international economic integration; reforming and perfecting economic institutions; improving the investment and business environment to attract high-quality foreign investment; supporting businesses to improve competitiveness; training and developing human resources; promoting foreign affairs and investment and trade promotion; along with improving the capacity to implement and effectively utilize free trade agreements.
In the list of specific tasks for 2026, the province will organize many large-scale activities such as the Bac Ninh Province International Industry - Trade Fair in the second and third quarters of 2026 and the FDI Connect Forum 2026 with a theme toward sustainable global supply chains. The province will also organize business delegations to participate in international trade fairs and exhibitions in key markets, implement programs connecting domestic businesses with multinational corporations, and support businesses in applying cross-border e-commerce./.
