(BNP) - The Provincial People's Committee recently signed Plan No. 64/KH-UBND to implement Bac Ninh province's international economic integration plan for the period 2026-2030.
Bac Ninh aims for a total import and export value of US$1,425 billion in the period 2026-2030.
The plan aims to create a strong shift in awareness and responsibility among all levels, sectors, and people regarding the role, position, significance, and importance of international economic integration in the new context. It seeks to proactively and effectively utilize favorable international resources and conditions to serve socio-economic development, ensure national defense and security, and enhance the role, position, and prestige of Bac Ninh province domestically, regionally, and internationally.
To enhance competitiveness, promote innovation, digital transformation, and integrate into the international economy in a comprehensive, substantive, and effective manner. Maintain sustainable export growth; strive for a total import and export value of USD 1,425 billion in the period 2026-2030. By 2030, Bac Ninh aims to become a modern industrial province with a higher standard of living than the national average; and by 2045, to be a prosperous, beautiful, civilized, modern, and comprehensively developed province, serving as a model for the country.
To achieve these goals, Bac Ninh province has identified nine key tasks. These include continuing to promote information and communication about international economic integration; developing and perfecting mechanisms and policies within its authority; and ensuring their full, timely, and consistent implementation in accordance with international economic integration obligations and commitments.
Strengthening administrative reforms and digital transformation in state management and production and business activities will support businesses in accessing market information, enhancing competitiveness, and protecting legitimate rights in international trade.
Strengthening and expanding foreign relations, deepening economic cooperation between Bac Ninh province and foreign localities, embassies, and diplomatic representative offices in Vietnam; expanding cooperation into new areas in line with the central government's orientation and the province's economic development conditions.
In addition, the Plan also outlines specific solutions for implementing comprehensive integration in the fields of culture and society, science and technology, education, health, agriculture and environment, and security and defense. Focusing on developing high-quality human resources, enhancing innovation capacity, and promoting regional linkages and international cooperation. This will contribute to building Bac Ninh into a locality with a dynamic economy, deep integration, and rapid and sustainable development in the coming period.
