Exchanging at the working session, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thinh informed about the investment environment, socio-economic development orientation, and strategy for attracting key projects of the province in the coming time.
Mr. Pham Van Thinh said that Bac Ninh was currently one of the major industrial centers of the country with import and export turnover reaching nearly USD 200 billion per year, in which the value of goods transported by air reached about USD 100 billion. With the advantage of a favorable geographical location, a synchronously connected transportation system, and being located in the Northern key economic region, the province identified developing the aviation economy as one of the new growth drivers.

Accordingly, the province was focusing on implementing the Gia Binh International Airport project and orienting the formation of an aviation economic ecosystem around the airport; transportation infrastructure was synchronously planned, ensuring seamless connection between the airport and industrial parks, logistics centers, and neighboring localities through the road system, high-speed railway, and other strategic transport routes. In addition, the province was also studying the construction of aviation maintenance, repair, and technical service centers to complete the industry's value chain.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that besides strength areas such as the electronics industry and semiconductor industry, Bac Ninh was reserving many large-scale land funds to attract investment in aviation industry development. With the advantage of a young population, a dynamic economy, a high-quality human resource source, and close linkage with supporting industries, Bac Ninh was assessed as a locality with many favorable conditions to develop the aviation economy in the future.

Along with that, the province also oriented the strong development of the railway industry. Bac Ninh was currently the only locality with an international intermodal railway line trading through China and deeply connecting into the transcontinental Eurasia network. On the basis of this advantage, the province planned to layout specialized industrial parks associated with the railway corridor to attract enterprises manufacturing equipment, components, and technology serving the railway industry. Bac Ninh currently had many mechanical enterprises with the capacity to manufacture and supply materials, components, and spare parts for the world's leading automotive brands, creating a favorable foundation to develop this field.
Highly appreciating the capacity and ideas of ABE Company and its partners, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thinh agreed with the proposal to organize trade promotion events, specialized exhibitions, and fairs. He affirmed that Bac Ninh had an exhibition center fully meeting the conditions for organizing large-scale events. The province committed to creating favorable conditions, and at the same time studying appropriate support mechanisms for enterprises to organize exhibition, promotion, and investment connection activities in the area./.
