(BNP) - Within the framework of the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Exchange Program and Investment Promotion in Mie Province (Japan), on the evening of April 28th, Bac Ninh province held a ceremony to grant investment registration certificates to 02 projects of Japanese enterprises, thereby further affirming the confidence of international investors in the province's investment environment.
Secretary Nguyen Hong Thai states that Bac Ninh province wishes to strengthen substantive and effective cooperation with Japanese localities and businesses.
Bac Ninh provincial leaders attending the program were Mr. Nguyen Hong Thai, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Mai Son, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Vu Tri Hai, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department; Mr. Vu Minh Hieu, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department.
Representing Vietnam in Japan was Mr. Nguyen Truong Son, Consul General of Vietnam in Osaka. Representing Japan were Ms. Yamamoto Sachiko, Member of the House of Representatives and Chairwoman of the Liberal Democratic Party; Mr. Noguchi Tadashi, President of the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association of Mie Prefecture; Mr. Nagasaku Tomohiro, Deputy Mayor of Matsusaka City; and representatives from Japanese businesses and investment promotion organizations.
Speaking at the program, Ms. Yamamoto Sachiko expressed her admiration for the dynamic development of Bac Ninh province, especially its role as a high-tech manufacturing center in the northern region of Vietnam.

At the program, Secretary Nguyen Hong Thai emphasized that Bac Ninh Province has always regarded Japan as an important strategic investment partner. The province continues to improve its investment environment, develop synchronized infrastructure, enhance the quality of human resources, and promote administrative reforms to create the most favorable conditions for businesses.
He stated that, to date, Bac Ninh has attracted more than 3,500 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with total registered capital exceeding USD 9.4 billion, ranking second nationwide. Of these, Japanese enterprises account for nearly 130 projects with total investment capital of almost USD 2 billion. The new projects of Aeon Mall and Sunhill, once operational, will make significant contributions to economic restructuring, job creation, higher labor productivity, and technology transfer, he added.
Within the framework of the program, Bac Ninh province awarded investment registration certificates to 02 projects of Japanese enterprises. Specifically, the AeonMall Bac Ninh Tan Tien Shopping Center project, invested by AeonMall Vietnam Co., Ltd. with a total capital of over USD 149 million, is being implemented in Tan Tien ward, aiming to build a modern shopping center integrating retail, food, entertainment, and office rental services.
The second project is Sunhill Vietnam Factory No. 2 of Sun Hill Vietnam Co., Ltd., with a total capital of USD 3 million, located in Hiep Hoa commune, specializing in the production of complete trolley wheels and replacement parts and accessories.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Truong Son acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of Bac Ninh province and Mie province in maintaining and promoting substantive and effective exchanges and cooperation activities.
He also affirmed that the Vietnamese representative office in Japan will continue to accompany and support the connection of businesses from both countries, contributing to strengthening economic, trade, and investment cooperation between the localities.

At the ceremony, Standing Vice Chairman Mai Son personally presented the Investment Registration Certificate to representatives of the two businesses in the presence of leaders from both sides.
The awarding of the Investment Registration Certificate not only completed the legal procedures as required but also clearly demonstrated Bac Ninh province's commitment to accompanying and supporting investors, creating favorable conditions for the projects to be implemented and operate effectively.
The Vietnam-Japan friendship exchange program in Mie province continues to open up many new cooperation opportunities, contributing to strengthening the relationship between the two localities in a substantive, effective, and sustainable manner in the future.
