(BNP) - On the morning of August 21, Hanoi - Bac Giang Industrial Park Infrastructure Development Investment Joint Stock Company held the groundbreaking ceremony of the construction of Song Mai - Nghia Trung Industrial Park in Viet Yen ward, Bac Ninh province.

Attending the ceremony were Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan; former Secretary of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee Bui Van Hai; representatives of the Department of Environment (Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment), Voice of Vietnam; departments, branches, Da Mai and Viet Yen wards, a number of enterprises and a large number of local people.
The Song Mai - Nghia Trung Industrial Park was approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 198/QD-TTg on January 21, 2025, with a total planned area of 197.1 hectares. The project's first phase spans 50 hectares, with a total investment of more than VND 2,800 billion. After completion, the Industrial Park will be a multi-industry industrial park with synchronized and modern infrastructure, serving the needs of secondary investors while also contributing significantly to Bac Ninh province's industrial and socio-economic development.
By June 2025, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 794/QD-UBND to allocate the entire area of 50 hectares of land in phase 1 to implement the project. At the same time, the province also decided to allocate an additional 89.8 hectares, bringing the total area of phase 1 to 139.8 hectares.
Speaking at the ceremony, a representative from the Hanoi - Bac Giang Industrial Park Infrastructure Development Investment Joint Stock Company extended sincere thanks for the attention and support of the Government, central ministries, leaders of Bac Ninh province, local authorities and people.

At the ceremony, Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the investor and the active participation of departments, branches and sectors. He informed that with its scale, potential and attractiveness, Bac Ninh will not only be the industrial production center of the North but also of the whole country, striving to become a centrally-run city, a smart urban area, a modern industrial center.

The Chairman believed that with the determination of the investor and the support of all levels, sectors, localities and the consensus of the people, Song Mai - Nghia Trung Industrial Park will strive to become a model industrial park "bright, green, clean, smart, multi-utility", contributing significantly to the socio-economic development of Bac Ninh in the coming time.
The groundbreaking ceremony of Song Mai – Nghia Trung Industrial Park was held in the atmosphere of the whole country competing to achieve achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. This is a project of important significance, contributing to the successful implementation of the socio-economic development goals, enhancing the position of Bac Ninh in the process of industrialization and modernization.
