2024 Art Competition of Vietnam Bank for Social Policies - Region II opens
(BNP) - On July 6, the opening ceremony of the 2024 Art Competition of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) - Region II (Competition) took place at Kinh Bac Cultural Center.

Participants at the ceremony were Senior Lieutenant General Pham Hong Huong, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Veterans Association, Member of the Board of Directors of the VBSP, and Head of the Organizing Committee of the Competition; Mr. Ngo Tan Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, and Head of the Board of Representatives of the VBSP in Bac Ninh province; Mrs. Tran Thi Van, Deputy Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hang, Deputy General Director of the VBSP; and leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors, as well as representatives from provinces and cities in the region.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Pham Hong Huong emphasized that the Competition is an extensive political and professional event, aiming to improve professional qualifications, increase understanding, create a useful playground, and exchange between VBSP staff and officials of socio-political organizations. It is also one of the activities to welcome the Conference summarizing 10 years of implementing Directive No. 40 dated November 22, 2014 of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership over social policy credit, he added.

In order for the Competition to achieve the highest results, he requested the teams and actors to strictly follow the rules, compete in a spirit of solidarity, and demonstrate the unique talents and cultural features of all provinces and cities in each part.

Taking place in 2 days from July 6 to July 7, the Competition attracted the participations of 366 actors who are VBSP staff and officials of entrusted units from 10 provinces and cities: Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Lang Son, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Phu Tho, Quang Ninh, Hoa Binh and Vinh Phuc.

The teams brought 50 performances in various genres: singing, independent dancing, group singing and dancing, skits and musical instrument ensembles with the theme of praising the Party, beloved Uncle Ho, love for the homeland, country, and social policy credit.

With careful preparation and elaborate staging, the musical performances left many impressions and received enthusiastic responses from the audience.

At the end of the Competition, the Organizing Committee will select good performances and voices, and teams with excellent achievements to participate in the 2024 National Art Competition of the VBSP.
