Announcement of results of Economic Census and Census of Administrative establishments in 2021

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Head of the Provincial Economic Census Steering Committee and leaders of relevant departments and sectors attended the Conference at Bac Ninh’s venue.

The 2021 General Economic Census conducted by the General Statistics Office with a large scale, complex content, and involves 04 types of survey units, including enterprises; individual production and business establishments; non-business units, associations; religious and belief establishments.

As of December 31, 2020, Vietnam counted 683,600 operational enterprises with 14.7 million employees; 15,300 cooperatives with 169,600 employees; nearly 5.2 million individual business establishments with 8.5 million employees; 52,500 non-business units with 2.4 million employees; 46,800 religious and belief establishments with 167,200 dignitaries and monks working regularly at these establishments...

As of December 31, 2020, Vietnam had 32,304 administrative institutions, down 7.25% compared to 2016, equivalent to 2,520 establishments, an average decrease of 1.86% per year in the period 2016-2020.

Immediately after the conference, Vice Chairman Phuong assigned the Provincial Statistics Office to work with the Department of Home Affairs to carefully prepare the contents to organize the summarization of the Economic Census in the province.
