Bac Ninh continues to maintain first position in scale of industrial production

Permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee affirmed that the province's economy achieved some bright points. In 2019, the province has actively proposed and worked with the Party Central Committee, the Government and the National Assembly, among which, there were many important contents for the province's development decided by the Prime Minister. The Provincial People's Committee also has implemented synchronous solutions, promptly solved and removed difficulties and problems as well as facilitated enterprises to develop production and business.

During the year, the value of industrial production reached VND 1,073.7 trillion (at 2010 constant price), continuing to maintain the first position compared to the whole country in terms of the production scale. Service sector continued increasing 7.2%. Activities to promote and attract investment are promoted; foreign investment attraction ranked the 6th in the country, attracting new and adjusted increase of over USD 1.35 billion; export of goods was estimated at USD 35,050 million; import at USD 27,970 million.

In 2019, Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) increased slightly by 1.1%, ranking the 7th position nationwide. Sector of industry and construction accounted for 75.72%; service accounted for 21.64%; agriculture, forestry and fishery accounted for 2.64%. State budget revenue reached VND 29,912.2 billion, exceeding VND 2,515 billion compared to the estimate, up 6.5% compared to 2018, of which, domestic revenue was VND 23,662 billion.

The work of planning, construction management, urban development, architectural space and landscape management have been strengthened and the quality of planning has been improved.
