Bac Ninh creates a new driving force to attract investment and development

Speaking at the Workshop, Vice Chairman Nguyen Huu Thanh said that, in 2019, the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) of Bac Ninh province has dramatically improved, reached a very good ranking and ranked the 4th out of 63 provinces and cities. This showed the efforts and determinations of all levels and sectors in improving the business environment in order to attract investment.

Vice Chairman emphasized that in 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic has seriously affected the social life and most economic sectors so that businesses are also affected. Facing the above challenge, Bac Ninh province has determined to implement the "dual tasks" of promoting socio-economic development and fighting against the Covid-19 pandemic. The Provincial People's Committee has supported the business in handling administrative procedures, timely removing difficulties and obstacles for businesses, support domestic businesses to connect and participate in the supply chain of corporations...

In 2019, Bac Ninh’s PCI achieved a very good ranking with 70.79 points, ranked fourth out of 63 provinces and cities. Among which, Access to land, Transparency, Time costs, Informal charges, Proactivity, Law and order, and Policy bias increased by 1.16 points, 1.17 points, 0.11 points, 1.92 points, 1.35 points, 1.85 points, and 2.21 points, respectively.

Delivering at the Workshop, the Vice Chairman acknowledged and appreciated participants’ opinions at the Workshop. At the same time, he urged departments, branches and localities to continue improving dynamic features as well as operational efficiency of the Business Support Working Group in association with the Business Doctor model.

He assigned Provincial Public Administration Center in coordination with Department of Home Affairs to make a plan to supplement functions and tasks on administrative procedure control and a number of tasks on administrative procedure reform for Public Administration Center at all levels; effectively implement "4 on-site" administrative procedures.

Department of Planning and Investment, Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs are responsible for improving 2 reduction indexes including Entry costs and Labor Policy. Bac Ninh Institute for Socio-Economic Development Studies analyzes and organizes training courses to improve the business environment associated with improving the quality of local governance to departments, branches and district level, said the Vice Chairman.
