Bac Ninh introduces investment environment to Korean businesses
(BNP) - On December 4, in the framework of the Mekong - RoK Business Forum, at the dialogue between Vietnamese localities and Korean businesses, Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan introduced the province’s investment environment to Korean businesses.

Vice Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan affirmed the favorable conditions of Bac Ninh thanks to its location in the Northern Key Economic Region, Hanoi Capital Region as well as in the two major economic corridors linking Con Minh (China) to Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh and Nam Ninh - Lang Son - Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh.
Up to now, Bac Ninh is a dynamic development province with many socio-economic indicators at the top nationwide. The province currently has 1,700 FDI projects with a total investment capital of USD 20 billion from 37 countries and territories. Among which, Korea takes the lead with 941 projects and a total investment of nearly USD 13.3 billion (accounting for about 66.42% of total foreign investment in the province).
On the other hand, Bac Ninh province also issued support policies in various fields such as support for agricultural production and rural infrastructure; businesses with large budget revenues; labor training and employment and so on.
As the smallest province in the country with limited area, the province has soon made investment attraction orientation with priority given to following fields: Smart cities, education and training, high-tech agriculture, high-tech industries, supporting industries, projects of large corporations for construction of infrastructure works, urban development, commercial centers, high-class eco-resorts; advantaged and high value added trade services with such as health care, education and training, high quality tourism, international financial services, logistics and other modern services.
Vice Chairman Tuan expressed his hope for the continued trust on Bac Ninh as an investment destination from the Korean businesses, while on the other hand, assuring that Bac Ninh province will create the most favorable conditions for Korean enterprises.
Korean businesses highly appreciated Bac Ninh’s investment environment, potential and economic development and showed their interest for exploring investment opportunities and business expansion in the province in the coming time.
