Chairman of Provincial People's Committee works with Provincial Center for Sports Coaching and Competition
(BNP) - In the morning of October 1st, Mr. Nguyen Tu Quynh, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee worked with Provincial Center for Sports Coaching and Competition (under Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism).

The Provincial Center for Sports Coaching and Competition was established and put into operation since September 1st 2018 on the basis of the merger of the Provincial Sports Center and the Center for Athletes Coaching and Training. At present, the Center is training 10 high-achievement sports subjects with 255 athletes, including 09 Olympic sports.
According to the plan, in 2018, the Center participated in 34 national and international awards, so far, has reached 234 medals of all kinds, including 64 gold medals, 59 silver medals, and 111 bronze medals. Particularly, the province will join 09 sports with 90 athletes at the national sports and physical training festival, which has been taken place at the end of November 2018
Regarding the organization of sports competitions, in 2018, the Center completed 17 out of 18 provincial sports tournaments. From now until the end of the year, the Center will organize the youth football tournament in the program of the Provincial Sports Festival and the final round of National A-class Volleyball Championships.
In order to obtain highest results in high-achievement sports in line with the potential of the province, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism asked the province for permission to hire foreign experts for some spearhead sports subjects; to extend athletes' dormitory to meet current training needs; to invest in building specialized facilities for training and coaching,…
On the basis of the opinions of the functional departments, at the working session, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Quynh asked the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to quickly stabilize the organizational structure in the direction of the provincial sports training school. In particular, it should be strictly monitored enrollment, ensuring that students are not only talented but also intellectual and ethical.
The Chairman Nguyen Tu Quynh assigned Department of Home Affairs in coordination with Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Finance and relevant units to study and develop mechanisms and policies for the coaches and athletes, which aim to attract and timely reward the talents.
The Chairman of Provincial People's Committee also asked Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to coordinate with press agencies to promote the propagation of cultural activities and sports tournaments taking place in the province. In the short term, the Department needs to prepare all conditions for the highest achievements at the 8th National Sports Festival scheduled to take place at the end of November 2018.
Regarding the recommendations, the Chairman agreed on the policy and assigned functional agencies to continue researching, repairing facilities and create conditions for athletes to have the best training-and-living conditions.
