More than 6,700 visitors to the Provincial Museum

(BNP) - At the beginning of 2019, the Provincial Museum organized various activities on the occasion of Festival "Arrive in Quan Ho land in 2019" and celebrating the 10th anniversary of Quan Ho folk songs honored by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage representatives of humanity, attracting many visitors to visit and learn.

Many students visit the exhibition of "Quan Ho Bac Ninh - from origin to contemporary".

In the first quarter of 2019, the Provincial Museum welcomed about 6,750 visitors inside and outside the province. One of the outstanding activities is the organization of the thematic exhibition "Quan Ho Bac Ninh Folk songs - from origin to contemporary" with nearly 500 images, documents, artifacts displayed on 03 main topics: Bac Ninh - the homeland of Quan Ho ancestor; Space for cultural activities of Quan ho; Preserving and promoting Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk heritage.

In particular, contents focused on introducing the homeland of Quan Ho’s ancestor in Diem village, Hoa Long commune, Bac Ninh city with cultural relics and history including Lady King temple, Diem temple, Cung temple-Ngoc well, the Quan Ho hosting house, the memorial festival of the Lady King of Quan Ho. Besides, the Museum also recreated the traditional activities of Quan Ho folk songs such as making friends of Quan ho, beliefs, festivals and culture of Quan Ho and other forms of experiment, developing Quan Ho folk songs in the contemporary society.

Furthermore, the Provincial Museum in collaboration with Bac Ninh Antiquities Collection Association carried out the 6th artifact exhibition, introducing over 600 typical antiquities of more than 40 researchers, collectors in and outside the province with many very valuable items such as Dong Son bronze drum; Pottery in Ly, Tran and Le dynasties..., attracting many delegations to visit and enjoy, including many international delegations and other provinces.
