Press conference to announce socio-economic statistics for first 6 months
(BNP) - On June 30, the Provincial Statistics Office held a press conference to announce socio-economic statistics for the first 6 months of 2022. Participants at the press conference were leaders of relevant departments, branches and sectors; representatives from press and media agencies of the central and provincial governments.
Overview of the press conference.
In the first 6 months of the year, Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) increased by 14.7%, over the same period, higher than the growth rate of the whole country and ranked second in the country in terms of growth rate during the period. Regarding agricultural production, due to the influence of the weather and the decrease in cultivated area, the value of agricultural, forestry and aquatic production decreased slightly over the same period, the total value was estimated at VND 3,296 billion.
The index of industrial production (IIP) increased by 19.75%, the export turnover of goods was estimated at more than USD 21 billion, up 9%... Especially, the total retail sales and service revenue was estimated at VND 40,443 billion, up 36.4% over the same period. Especially, attracting FDI (total licensed FDI capital) increased by 6.2 times. State budget revenue in the area was estimated at VND 16,532 billion, equaling 52.4% of the year estimate, down 0.3% over the same period. The economy in the province is stable, the average consumer price index (CPI) in the first 6 months only increased by 2%. Bank interest rates are at a reasonable level; credit growth is fast (up 12.2%).
In 6 months, more than 1,300 enterprises newly established with a total registered capital of more than VND 10,480 billion; 554 enterprises returned to operation. The number of enterprises entering the market increased compared to the same period last year and was 1.74 times higher than the number of enterprises withdrawing from the market.
