Provincial leaders meet and talk with workers

(BNP) – On June 4, Provincial Labor Confederation held a meeting with workers and evaluated outcomes of Workers' Month 2020 at Kinh Bac Culture Center.

Secretary Nguyen Nhan Chien and Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang directly answered workers’ questions.

At the meeting, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Nhan Chien acknowledged and praised contributions the trade union organizations and workers to the province's socio-economic development. He also appreciated initiative of the Provincial Labor Confederation organizing this meeting with the workers.

During the meeting, provincial leaders listened to workers’ questions as well as their proposals. 

In response to the workers, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huong Giang said that in the past time, the province has drastically implemented many solutions to support workers affected by the Covid-19 epidemic.

Secretary Nguyen Nhan Chien, Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang and leaders of departments, sectors and localities directly answered workers’ questions.

Right after the meeting, the Provincial Labor Confederation evaluated outcomes of Workers' Month 2020. In the context of Covid-19 epidemic, the trade unions at all levels in the province carried out meaningful activities such as providing free masks and disinfectant water for union members and workers with total value of VND 7.4 billion; installing free rice ATMs; offering necessities for 45,000 workers in difficulty.

Acknowledging the efforts made by Trade Union at all levels over the past time, Standing Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee Dao Hong Lan highly valued the outcomes of the Workers’ Month.

The Trade Union at all levels paid more attention to workers by strengthening the propaganda and training for workers, especially for improving skills and industrial labor style, said the Standing Deputy Secretary.
