Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan visits land donation movement to open roads and covert rice land in Gia Binh district
(BNP) - On April 11, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies visited the movement of land donation to open rural roads and the model of converting rice land to grow fruit trees in Gia Binh district.

Joining the delegation were Mr. Nguyen Dinh Loi, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Ngo Tan Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; leaders of relevant departments and sectors.
Implementing the Resolution of the Gia Binh District Party Congress in the 2020 - 2025 term, from 2020 up to now, the Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front, and socio-political organizations at all levels have propagandized and mobilized people to donate land. To date, people in Gia Binh district have voluntarily donated 5,688.83 square meters of land and some assets on land such as fences, trees, crops, etc.
Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan directly visited and talked to people in 3 villages including Huong Trien, Cau Dao and Ngo Cuong of Nhan Thang commune. He also expressed his joy at the locality’s achievements in the land donation movement to expand the road.
In the coming time, the Secretary requested the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to preside and cooperate with the Farmers’ Union and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to advise the Provincial Party Standing Committee to issue a document that directs the content of donating land to expand roads.
The Secretary also respectfully sent his thanks to the people who volunteered to donate land to expand the road in the common spirit of the locality and society. Therefore, that movement helps to make traffic more convenient, the landscape more beautiful, and people's lives better.
On the same day, Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan and the delegation visited the farm converting rice land into fruit trees owned by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trieu in Xuan Lai commune. This is a model of accumulating nearly 100 hectares of agricultural land from low-yield rice cultivation to fruit trees, of which more than 60 hectares are planted with green-skinned pomelo (3 - 6 years old); more than 30 hectares are specializing in growing black grapes, ornamental plants and fruit trees.
