Standing Vice Chairwoman Tran Thi Hang visits Dong Ho Folk Painting Conservation Center

Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Thi Hang visits the Dong Ho folk painting display area.

The Center is built on a large scale and quite synchronously, imbued with traditional architectural identity. It put into use in 2021. Specifically, the Exhibition House has an area of more than 500 m2 with more than 1,000 documents and artifacts researched and acquired from artisan families and local residents, divided into 3 areas: Overview of the rich history and cultural quintessence of Dong Ho village; the values, characteristics, and uniqueness of Dong Ho folk painting craft; conservation work of promoting the craft of making Dong Ho folk painting.

Wood carvings and ancient paintings are hundreds of years old. Furthermore, several photos and movies were added to serve the work of presentation and introduction.

Standing Vice Chairwoman Tran Thi Hang urged the Thuan Thanh Town People's Committee to work with relevant units to exploit and promote full use of the Center; promote information and communication work, widely advertise the unique traditional cultural features and characteristics of Dong Ho folk paintings as well famous craft villages in the province to the young generation and strata of people, thereby, promoting tourism stimulation, attracting tourists to Bac Ninh - Kinh Bac homeland.
