Bac Ninh organizes many cultural activities to celebrate 80th anniversary of Vietnam People's Army
(BNP) - On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - 2024) and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - 2024), the Provincial Cultural Center and the Veterans Association of Bac Ninh city jointly organized traditional talks and documentary screenings at secondary schools in Bac Ninh city.

According to the plan, the Bac Ninh City Veterans Association organized a talk about the tradition of General Vo Nguyen Giap, the People's Army, the history and significance of the Vietnam People's Army's founding day, memories in the military…, thereby arousing patriotism, national pride, educating students about tradition and morality of "When drinking water, remember its source". In addition, the films screened during this period include: : “Thép trong lòng biển sâu” (Steel in the deep sea), “Nguyễn Thị Định – Chân dung một nữ tướng” (Nguyen Thi Dinh - Portrait of a female general), “Vùng đất xanh” (Green land), etc.
The program is an opportunity to widely propagate the tradition of fighting to defend the as well as the attributes of "Uncle Ho's soldiers," while also educating patriotism and socialism. This is also an opportunity for students to learn more about military life and the stories of veterans, thereby, instilling pride and motivation in the next generation to follow in their forefathers' footsteps in constructing and defending the Fatherland.
