Bac Ninh organizes traditional folk arts performances at several tourist destinations

(BNP) - The Provincial People's Committee, has just signed and promulgated Plan No. 161/KH-UBND on performing traditional folk arts at some tourist places for the benefit of the public, residents, and tourists.

The plan states that beginning in 2024, the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism will assume primary responsibility for organizing festivals featuring traditional folk art in Bac Ninh province on a regular basis and will work in coordination with relevant agencies and units to do so. The plan also calls for conferences, seminars, and exchanges on traditional folk art performances, preservation, and promotion of cultural heritage values.

Ca Tru; Singing Van, Singing Chau Van; Paddle; Tuong; Singing Army Drums; Dong Ngu Water Puppet are examples of typical traditional folk art forms.

Periodically hold traditional folk art performances in the walking street for the Quan Ho Bac Ninh folk song program on the boat; concurrently, perform at a number of customary festivals like the Kinh Duong Vuong Festival, But Thap Pagoda, Dau Pagoda, Do Temple (Tu Son city); Ba Chua Kho temple (Bac Ninh city); Phat Tich pagoda (Tien Du district); Cao Lo Vuong temple (Gia Binh district); Performed at a number of monuments and tourist attractions that are often crowded in the first 3 months of spring such as: Temple Do (Tu Son city), Phat Tich pagoda (Tien Du district), Ba Chua Kho temple (city) Bac Ninh); Dau pagoda, But Thap pagoda (Thuan Thanh town), Tam Phu temple (Gia Binh district)...

Approving the Plan to enhance public awareness about the preservation and promotion of the nation's rich traditional cultural heritage values in general, and Bac Ninh in particular, particularly cultural heritages at danger of extinction. Simultaneously, in conjunction with tourism stimulus with artifacts and tourist attractions throughout the province, introducing and promoting the image of a civilized and developed Bac Ninh.
